Why Art on Argyle?
I'm an artist and an Art teacher. For years I've wrestled with the same question many artists face: how do you get your work in front of people? After all, what is art if it never gets to be seen?
I don't believe art should be tucked away in galleries or hidden in sketchbooks. I believe art should live in the world and be part of everyday life- something people stumble upon during a walk, something that makes them smile on the way to work, something that sparks curiosity or conversation.
Sooo....
Last year something unexpected happened, A speed bump was installed right in front of my home. As I saw cars slowing down to navigate this traffic obligation all day, every day, I was struck with an idea. I thought what better way to embrace this required pause in someone's day than to give the gift of art to the community!
So I decided to transform a little space in front of my home into a free community gallery where local artists could share their work.
Art on Argyle is a place where a hobby can be appreciated, a vision can be celebrated, and a profession can be valued. It is a reminder that art belongs Everywhere - and to everyone.

We believe creativity is worth celebrating at every level, whether it is someone's first finished piece or the latest work from a professional artist.
By making art visible and accessible we hope to inspire curiosity, encourage connection, and remind people that creativity is all around us.
